Announcement of OGO Energy (A technology driven startup company working as Energy Storage system

Noida, India, 27th September 2022: In its mission to support clean energy initiative and secure an attractive and sustainable circular business model for battery-based energy storage solution, OGO Energy is launching its first 100 MWh battery assembly plant in Noida, Uttar Pradesh India to support Prime Minsters vision of “Make in India”. The plant will be operational by Jan 2023 with expansion plans to Gigawatt hour capacity by end-2023.

OGO Energy has been recently established by Indian origin-based Founder’s and Dubai/Singapore based NRI investors. It has successfully raised an undisclosed amount of capital. OGO Energy plans to set up a "state-of-the-art” R&D facility and assembly plant for the development of Lithium-Ion battery energy storage ecosystem with in-house developed BMS i.e., Battery Management System to foster clean energy storage solutions.

OGO Energy has been launched by Rajit Nanda (Founder & Chairman), an Indian-born Intrapreneur and Social Entrepreneur and a well know face in the power and water sector space. He is one of the de-facto founding senior C-level, and management committee executive (from 2008-2022) at ACWA Power (Tadawul listed US$ c.30 billion market cap company). Prior to that, he was Regional CFO for Engie Middle East, Asia & Africa region.

Under the able guidance of Rajit Nanda , OGO Energy will be led by Co-Founder & CEO Abhishek Singh who possesses strong technical acumen, knowledge with proven track-record in energy storage space.

Ramesh Kumar Gupta (Co-Founder & CTO) and Nitin Singhal (Co-Founder & CMO) are also part of the core team and have immense sector knowledge with local knowhow and proven track records in the energy storage space.

OGO Energy will target two business domains i.e., stationery and e-mobility sectors with various applications in behind /front of the meter for C&I-Microgrid, datacenter, e-mobility (3-wheeler), telecom and AGV applications.
